Ball and Chains Leg Shackles

These functional and antique looking leg shackles were modeled from those used in the Clink Prison of London England. The "Clink" used shackles for confinement and as a deterrent to escape. The ring keeps the ball from rolling causing a prisoner to drag instead of roll the ball, slowing their escape. Our leg shackles are a heavy hand made replica quite accurate in style and functionality to the original.

A blackened heavy iron ball is encased by a solid ring and bars which attaches to a large ring and chain. This chain is securely attached to a hinged iron leg shackle that can be shut and secured by a lock. This is a must for any serious collector of dungeon and confinement pieces from the middle ages through the Renaissance. Weighs over 16 pounds and extends over 40". Functional!
